Tartans are rich in history and add interest to any outfit. The holiday season is the best time of year to get out your favorite tartans. Here are four patterns to look for to add to your collection:
Blackwatch is an old favorite that’s easy to find anywhere. My favorite pick is the monogrammed blackwatch plaid scarf from Land’s End.
My new favorite plaid, you can find an abundance of this pattern at L.L. Bean and Land’s End. I can’t wait to wear these pants this season.
A classic color combination, macbeth plaid is a lovely pattern to layer over or under a solid neutral sweater. This vest from Talbots is my favorite pick.
I love red buffalo check, but black buffalo check has caught my eye recently. It’s crisp enough to wear after the holidays in the colder months without looking too much like Christmas. This tea set from C Wonder would make such a cute gift.
What’s your favorite tartan?
