Quilted Jackets Are Here To Stay

I bought my first quilted jacket six years ago from Eddie Bauer. It was a pebble brown, drawstring at the waist, and filled with real goose down. It’s warm and versatile not only back then, but also this morning when I grabbed it. This is a quality piece that has lasted me this long and will never go out of style. If you are looking for a jacket you can wear in the fall and spring that will last years, then look no further than the classic quilted jacket.

Since then, I’ve bought two more quilted jackets – a navy blue Ralph Lauren one, and a deep orange one from LL Bean. I love the LL Bean one the most because of the plaid lining that shows when I fold back the sleeve, and the underside of the collar is an olive green corduroy. The details will always get me! The shade of orange is spot on and adds color to my fall wardrobe. I used to fear wearing color on bigger pieces, such as outwear, and always went for neutrals. While I’m still a fan of neutral classics, color gives a look a lot of personality.IMG_3162 (1)IMG_3167

Quilted jackets are an easy grab on a day where the weather is unpredictable.

Here are my top picks:

quilted jacketsLands End / Ralph Lauren / LL Bean (I have Cayenne color) / Eddie Bauer – long (shown above) or shorter version (on sale and in many colors!)

I have a quilted jacket/vest combo that I wear when I ride in chilly weather from Riding Sport, but I really like the navy LLBean jacket, def on my wish list! Love that color on you, esp with the blue sweater!

I LOVE quilted jackets! I bought one at the Ralph Lauren factory store and added a monogram and it is one of my favorite fall pieces 🙂

That’s awesome! How did you monogram it? I’d love to see it!
