Land’s End Summer Favorites

I wear a lot of Land’s End, and can always rely on the company to come out with classic/timeless pieces that fit my all-American style. This summer is no exception, and I’ve come to love pretty much everything they’re offering. Below are my picks of what I’ve bought or have my eye on.

Screen Shot 2015-05-10 at 8.27.54 PMI just got this Pointe Keyhole Sheath and I can already tell it will be a staple for years to come. I’m very impressed with the material as it has a little more weight to it that gives it higher-end feel, along the white piping that goes along the edge of the dress. The keyhole detail helps the dress stand out a little while still keeping the classy, understated look. I’ve worn it to both work and church already, and plan to wear it all summer. It comes in many colors, but the navy is classic.

This seersucker sundress  is as transitional as they come as it can be dressed up for an outdoor wedding, or worn casually to a day at the park. I bought this dress originally in a regular, but the length is a little too long for me (like in the photo), so I got a petite and now it hits above my knee without changing the dress proportions elsewhere. There’s even little loops underneath the shoulder straps that keep your undergarment straps in place. Can’t wait to start wearing this!

Screen Shot 2015-05-10 at 8.33.45 PMMy mom had purchased this shoulder wrap dress and I was very impressed with it. It has a nautical ship pattern on it, and the color red is on point. It’s made of rayon/spandex, so it’s a very soft material that almost cools you down. I think this would look great all summer, especially a BBQ or 4th of July party.

IMG_6279Screen Shot 2015-05-10 at 8.29.11 PMI love this tugless striped one piece and it’s currently on sale for $50. I originally got the petite since I have a shorter torso, but it was a way too short, so I got the regular and it worked great. I love that classic, Hollywood vibe with a twist, and you can’t go wrong with navy and white stripes. I recommend this suit to anyone, I even think Jackie O would sport it.

IMG_6094Screen Shot 2015-05-10 at 8.29.30 PMThis cover up (currently $20) is amazing, comes in many colors, and many different types of monograms. What I like most about it is that it’s really hard to find a cover up that you can go out in public in and not feel funny. This has thick enough straps and length to feel comfortable running errands in it after the pool. I wore it on my trip to Marco Island and got many compliments!

IMG_8082Finally, accessories:

Top Left – Reese Low Wedge Sandals (on sale $48). My mom had purchased these and I’m pretty jealous of them! They’re a beautiful blue color and then detail on the side of the wedge is so fun. They’re very comfortable and pair with a lot!

Top Right – Terranium Slides (on sale $24). I bought these as my “I need to run outside real quick” shoes because they’re super comfortable and slide right on. I previously wore flip flops, but they have no support and got stretched out. These are my new go-to shoe for quick errands and outdoor work.

Bottom Left – Della Mid Wedge (on sale $39.99). I don’t own these because I can’t justify another navy wedge, but I really love them. I think they’d go with a lot and look like they’re be comfortable. The gold Land’s End emblem is a nice touch.

Bottom Right – Medium Open Tote (on super sale $19). I own this tote in a plaid, but adore the classic canvas with the monogram. The medium size is my favorite for taking to work or the gym because I can throw everything in it but it’s not too big where it ends up being a big mess. It has big pockets on the inside that keeps everything organized while holding a lot. Highly recommended!

As you can tell, I’m very impressed with the Land’s End summer line and am happy with all my purchases so far. Everything shown above is a classic, but never boring, style that will serve you for years to come.

Nice additions. Lands End is one if those stores I take a look at periodically, but nothing ever jumps out at me. I’m always reminding myself that simple pieces mix and layer well. I guess it’s time to grab some Lands End.
