Pearls are a timeless staple in women’s jewelry that is synonymous with class and taste. They add elegance to any outfit and can either be used as a statement piece or an understatement. I wear pearls in some form almost daily (mostly pearl studs), and am excited to show you how I styled two different variations of pearl strands and pearl earrings today.
All the jewelry featured today is from Demoiselle Jewels, owned by Lauren Gluck, who hand makes high-quality pearl jewelry. Take a quick peek at her website to see the wide variety of styles and colors her jewelry comes in and also great examples of how they are styled. I think her jewelry is perfect for brides and bridal parties because you can custom order pearls in different colors and shades, and they make a quality gift that will be worn again and again.
If you are looking to mix things up then I would recommend this triple decker pearl strand necklace because it adds a little more interest to an outfit than just a single strand. It reminded me of something a first lady would wear, which is why I was originally attracted to it! It’s a necklace that will never go out of style and I look forward to wearing it time and time again.
I think this style looks great both under and over a collared shirt. Under is a little more subtle but has more of a presence than a single strand, and over makes more of a statement and really catches the eye.
This Bubbly Pearl Necklace is so fun! I always admired the J Crew hammock pearl necklace, but you have to twist the pearls to duplicate this look, whereas this already has the variation in pearl size that makes it so dimensional. This is a preppy staple that is so easy to wear. Again, I styled it both under and over a collared shirt, but I prefer under because it follows the neckline nicely and peeks out.

I also wanted to show each necklace on a different neckline. Either style looks amazing on a high neck shirt, whether it be a shift dress, t-shirt, blouse, etc. I love when the necklace can lay atop of the material to really make it stand out. I also think either of these styles would look great with a scoop neck or strapless neckline.
Here are examples of necklines I do not favor for these necklaces. The v-neck isn’t impossible to pull off, but I would steer clear of them if you’re unsure. I’m also not a huge fan of necklaces paired with one-shoulder dresses since it completes with the already angled neckline of the dress. Besides these two necklines, these necklaces are foolproof to pull off.
Classic Drop Earrings c/o / Oversized Posts c/o
I love the drop earrings, especially when my hair is in an up-do. They’re perfect for a wedding guest outfit since they are extra formal without competing with the rest of your outfit.
I’ve been wearing the Oversized Posts non-stop since receiving them. I always wear pearl studs (cheap-o ones from Forever21), but have retired them in lieu of these nicer, larger pair. I love how the size is a little bigger than your normal pearl studs – it’s a very classic-prep look! I highly recommend these.
Don’t forget to check out Demoiselle Jewels to see all the other styles they offer! I love supporting small businesses that create high quality items, and Lauren’s jewelry is exactly that. Any of the designs would make great gifts or a timeless piece for yourself (and they come nicely packaged too!). The two necklaces and earrings I styled are the tip of the iceberg, so take a peek and you won’t be disappointed!
