dress – gap // panama hat – old // striped shirt c/o ll bean // green boots c/o ll bean
We are in between seasons, so we put away our heavy fabrics but can’t quite take out shorts yet. Dressing for spring can sometimes be challenging since the weather can be unpredictable. One day it was sunny and warm here, and a few days later it snowed a few inches. There’s one fabric that effortlessly transitions seasons and it’s chambray.
Chambray is a linen-like material that’s lightweight and normally comes in shades of blue resembling denim. (My dress above is technically denim but I thought it was a good visual of how to style chambray). It’s the perfect compliment to a spring wardrobe since it’s a basic, yet softens any look. It’s best pair with lighter pastels, such as pinks, yellows, and lighter greens. I love incorporating my chambray pieces into my spring wardrobe to take me from colder wear into summer.
