I’m a big fan of wearing hats, and you can read the reasons why you should wear a baseball cap and how to style it on a previous post here. I’ve always loved the needlepoint baseball caps for their classic yet fun style, so when Harding-Lane reached out, I was thrilled to start styling their hats.
All baseball hats are not made equal, and if you wear one regularly you know this to be true. Many times hats can fit awkwardly, feel cheap, or lose their shape after a few wears. This is not the case with Harding-Lane as they are 100% heavy weight cotton that keeps its shape over time as I have found out first hand. The needlepoint detail is reminiscent of the old school prep feel that only gets better with time. My favorite part of the hats is that the back strap is made of authentic sailboat material. This detail set it leagues apart from other caps. Here are my picks below:
My favorite part about the company is that it’s a small business ran by brother-sister duo Steve and Sarah. They’re very conscious of keeping a high standard for their manufacturers as well as how their profits are used as they give back a percentage to the environment in their own backyard. I work for a small business that puts importance on where the product is made and how it’s made, so these values resonate with me when supporting a product. It’s one thing to like a certain item from a store, but when the company goes the extra mile to make quality their standard, it creates a lifelong appreciation for their work that goes deeper than a single purchase.
The color on the Bonefish on Salmon Orange ℅ (pictured left) is a little lighter than a nantucket red, which gives it an already broken-in look that Joe and I love, and the needlepoint detail is incredible. I wasn’t sure what to expect of the color but was pleasantly surprised!
The Sloop on Keys Green ℅ (on right) is my personal favorite as this color goes seamlessly well with my wardrobe as I wear a lot of white and navy year round, and it will add the perfect pop of color. I’ll be living in this hat all summer!

April 10, 2015 at 10:19 am (8 years ago)Harding Lane is definitely my favorite brand of hats. The foxhunt design is my favorite because of the fox on the side of the hat although I find the bright green color of it is hard to pair with some of my outfits. Great review!

April 10, 2015 at 11:53 am (8 years ago)I love the fox one too, but I have many hats for fall and like this color for spring and summer. I wear a lot of navy and white so this will pair perfectly with a striped tee and shorts for the summer, plus I love the sailboats!
I’d love to see your fox hunt hat! My family room in my house is fox hunt themed 🙂
