Great Lakes Clothing Co – Cabin Crew Review

I love being from the Great Lakes State, Michigan, so I could not resist the opportunity to review the Cabin Crew from Great Lakes Clothing Co.  I instantly fell in love with not only this item, but with pretty much everything that this Midwest based company makes.  I love the effortless lake lifestyle it exudes and that it’s all made right here in America. I’m a sucker for anything that says “Great Lakes”.

Here’s my review of the Cabin Crew c/o Great Lakes Clothing Co. First off, I love the overall look of the crew – the color has a natural sun fade look to it. The collegiate stripes and Great Lakes Clothing loon branding are a nice touch.

Another great thing about this shirt is its versatility. This crew is a great investment as it is definitely a four-season wear. Whether in the dead of winter or on a cool summer’s night on the lake, I can easily see myself wearing this crew. The shirt works well as a stand alone top, and pairs great when it comes to layering, such as a quilted vest over it.

Screen-Shot-2015-02-11-at-11.44.10-PM-1I’ve had this shirt for a short time and find myself reaching for it multiple days of the week.  It has instantly become a great addition to my closet and I would definitely recommend you check out Great Lakes Clothing Co. whether its to buy a crew like this (more sizes coming in March) or another one of their great items. It’s truly a company that makes quality items with subtle details that make all the difference.

Thanks for your review! Two questions: what size did you get and is the fabric really heavy?

I got a small and the fabric was heavier because it’s quality, not because it’s too warm. I’ve been wearing it in the evenings this summer and it’s perfect!

So if I am around 5′ 7″ do you think a small would fit me? I have long arms haha

Yes! I have to roll the cuffs on mine (and then some)! I don’t think arm length is an issue.
