Dressing Room

My house has four smaller bedrooms, and since it’s only my husband, kitty, and I living there we take advantage of the space instead of cramming our stuff into one room. My husband kindly agreed to letting me have my own space for a dresser, vanity, and wardrobe that I call my “dressing room”. It’s a lovely space that I enjoy spending time in each day while picking out an outfit and getting ready. I found myself running out of space for bulkier items such as sweaters, so I added a gorgeous wardrobe where I can stack my sweaters and be able to see them all at a glance instead of shuffling through a drawer. All the furniture in the room (except the ottoman) is made in America by the Amish in Ohio so it will last generations.

If you’d like to know where an item is from, just comment and I’ll respond with the info!

Is that your wedding dress displayed on the dress form? If so I absolutely adore that idea! How do you keep it from getting dusty, etc?

    Lovely room!

That is my wedding dress, it was a coincidence that it happen to fit the dress form! I don’t keep it from getting dusty, I decided I’d rather have it out to enjoy than have it cleaned and stored, but I do sometimes worry about it long term and have considered putting it away.

      Thank you!

Where in Ohio did you get the furniture? I live in in Ohio and have been looking for a nice dark wood furniture set!

My family owns an Amish Furniture store so we get them from small shops in south central Ohio (Berlin area) that unfortunately don’t sell directly to the public. I can get you more info if you are interested in one! My set is brown maple with the stain “coffee” on it.

I love the furniture! I don’t need any furniture right now but will be moving in a few months and would love some beautiful pieces such as these!

They are heirloom quality so you only need to buy them once! That’s the beauty of real wood and being made in America. 🙂

      Thanks for reading!
